BMW M4 CS
Are you wondering when a new 'super sports car' will be coming into the market? Well, I can tell you that BMW have recently revealed their new M4 CS at the Shanghai Motor Show, which will be up for grabs later this year.
This new BMW M4 CS stands out from the standard M4 Competition Pack with clear sophisticated characteristics, however, is not quite on the same level as the BMW M4 GTS. Therefore, this model will sit between the two on the current market. It also creates a new competitor to the market, competing with the Mercedes AMG C63 Coupe. However, the M4 CS is on par with the Lexus LFA and Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, and even slightly quicker than the McLaren Mercedes SLR!
So, you are probably wanting to know what the differences are; well let’s start with the power statistics…the 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight six engine has been adjusted in order to produce a staggering 454bhp (which is around 30bhp more than the standard M4), and as a result of this, it can reach 0-62pmh in only 3.9 seconds! Now if you like getting a thrill from speed, then this is one for you, as the top speed is 174mph.
Other differences will include an altered suspension setup to improve dynamics, which in actual fact has resulted to completing a lap of Nurburgring in 7 minutes and 38 seconds…22 seconds quicker than the standard BMW M4. BMW have used carbon-fibre in all kinds of places on this vehicle in order to save on weight and make it only 1,580kg. The bonnet, roof, front splitter and rear diffuser are some of the main areas where this material has been used.
The interior will be a combination of leather and Alcantara for the extra slick look, as well as including a new design of sports seats. On the dash, you will have a clear embossed badge to state it is a CS model.
Something so powerful and sleek is going to come with a cost, as I’m sure you are well aware of, therefore, this beauty has been given a starting price tag of just over £89,000?! Think what you could do with all that money…a decent deposit for a house, or a few nice holidays and shopping trips, but I still think the M4 CS is a better option, as there are only going to be a handful of them made, although no number has yet been given.
BMW has also revealed that the production for the M4 CS has been limited to only two years, so if you want to bag yourself one of these, remember to keep an eye out for the ordering date! But if you can’t wait that long to get your hands on one, then check out our used BMW M5 we have in stock.
