Key Things to Know About the Audi A1
Discover the key features and specifications of the nimble Audi A1.
The Audi A1 packs everything that people love about the brand into a compact, well-designed package. It’s smart, brimmed with features and efficient too so for many people the A1 will prove to be the ideal all-rounder.
Despite being quite small, the A1 has a lot of features to talk about. So let’s dive in and see what it’s got to offer.
It’s got a whole load of specifications to choose from
As you’d expect from an Audi model, there are loads of specifications to choose from with the A1. However, even base-spec models benefit from LED headlights and alloy wheels, as well as a full infotainment system with a suite of connectivity options.
It means that no matter which specification you opt for, you’ll get plenty of kit included.
An efficient petrol engine is on offer
Things are kept simple when it comes to engines on the A1 - there’s just one. However, it can be selected in one of two states of tune - either 94 or 108bhp - meaning that if you need a slightly punchier option there is one.
There’s the option of five- and six-speed manual gearboxes as well as a seven-speed auto. Plus, Audi claims up to 51.4mpg.
It comes with some of Audi’s latest tech
Just because it’s Audi’s smallest model doesn’t mean that the A1 isn’t packed with tech - it’s quite the opposite, in fact. You get an 8.8-inch central infotainment system that is not only clear and easy to use but also incorporates Apple CarPlay.
Alongside that, there’s Audi’s excellent 10.25-inch digital cockpit. It’s a great addition to the A1 and certainly gives it a high-tech feel.
There’s plenty of scope for customisation
If you’re after a car that you can make look unique to you, then the A1 is a great choice. There are a wide variety of exterior colours to choose from alongside a range of alloy wheel designs.
Plus, you can opt for a contrast roof for an even more high-end look.
You can pick from Sportback or Citycarver bodystyles
Not only are there several trims to choose from, but there’s also the option of either Sportback or Citycarver. The latter gives the A1 a more go-anywhere appearance, with chunky bumpers and a slightly raised ride height.
Certainly, it helps to add to the A1’s presence.
