In short, no. Charging to 100% can push a lot of energy into the battery, which can cause it to wear away quicker. It's recommended that you keep your battery levels between 20-80% and try to charge it when the battery is warm after driving. This may help to prolong your battery life.

You can expect your BMW i3 battery to last approximately three to five years before signs of degradation begin. Factors such as your driving patterns and external temperatures will influence this. This doesn't necessarily mean you'll need to replace your battery as it should still have plenty of life in it even if it's not performing at its best.

New batteries can cost a lot to replace in some cases. However, this will depend on the supplier of the battery, so it's always best to get a quote from them before buying a new battery for your i3.

You'll need to book a service every two years or 18,000 miles to ensure your BMW i3 is in good working condition.
