Get to Know: Mercedes-Benz SL 63

We are lucky enough to have a Mercedes-Benz SL 63 in stock right here at Big Motoring World, even if it's out of your budget, (which for most of us it is) take a look. It's stunning.

The 577bhp convertible gets from 0-62 mph in around 4.2 seconds and as expected, sounds amazing, and the ride and comfort is better than anything else available in the class.

The SL 63's bespoke AMG gear selector.

Loaded with features as standard, including COMAND satellite navigation, heated seats, parking sensors, xenon headlamps, DAB, paddle shift, cruise control and so many more. Ours comes with tons of optional extras too, reversing camera, AMG steering wheel, electric wind deflector, air scarf, Harmon Kardon, Comfort pack (Includes keyless go) and red brake calipers.

If you have ever driven a Mercedes-AMG car you know roughly what to expect and it’s always a really great experience, but I strongly feel this one has never really got the attention it deserves, but I guess Mercedes went with quality over quantity with this one, and you really can see why they took that approach. The build quality on this car is outstanding. The SL isn’t a car to be overlooked though. If you ever get a chance to have a look at one in person, don’t turn it down. You will not be disappointed.

The interior is a really nice place to be, the seats are pretty comfortable and pretty much every surface is covered in leather, carbon fibre or alcantara.

None of the looks really matter once you turn the car on though. I doubt you will even want to have the COMAND system on, you will only care about listening to that spectacular V8. Put your foot down and it will probably be the most fun you’ve had in a car since your teens.

If you’ve got £61,000 to spare, there isn’t really a better option. Have a look at ours here, if the Mercedes SL 63 is a little out of your budget, take a look at its little brother, the SLK.
