Prices announced for updated Peugeot 308
Prices for the updated Pegeout 308 have been announced, with the firm’s popular hatchback now starting from £21,310.
The revised model now features a range of petrol and diesel engines as well as a greater level of in-car technology.
It’s available in either hatchback or estate variants, while a new exterior colour - Vertigo Blue - is a great option for those looking to stand out from the crowd. New optional 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels are also available.
All cars get Peugeot’s Digital I-Cockpit system as standard now, bringing a 10-inch instrument panel ahead of the driver. All 308 models also benefit from a 9.7-inch infotainment display which houses media and satellite navigation functions, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
GT and GT Premium specifications - priced from £26,630 - also benefit from a Driver Sport Pack as standard, which introduces a sport button. This enables the driver to sharpen the throttle response while increasing the responsiveness of the power steering.
The 308 is available with a range of assistance systems too, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and active lane departure warning.
There’s the choice of either a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel unit, which are both available in a variety of power outputs. Buyers can opt for either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox, too, though the latter is only available in higher-powered variants.
Sitting atop the range is the 308 GTi hot hatch. Priced from £31,985, it utilises a turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine with 256bhp and 340Nm of torque.
